The Reintegration Therapy – Team Approach is designed to diminish animus, support co-parenting and re-balance the parent-child relationships. This program is typically used when either you wish results quickly or you have already had prior Reintegration Therapies that have been unsuccessful.
Reintegration Therapy – Team Approach
Each therapist will work with one part of the family and then both therapists will come together with the family for certain aspects of the treatment process.
The model focuses on helping parents first so they can best support a healthy relationship with the resisted parent. We offer much insight as to the reasons for resistance of one parent and help rebalance the family system. Both parents become clearly aware of their stated and not so stated messaging to the children about the other parent. Parents take responsibility for each of their contributions to the rupture in the resisted parent-child dynamic.
We help parents shift from an adversarial position to adopting an appreciation of what their child needs relationally with each parent. The program addresses underlying reasons for child resistance/refusal. It also facilitates developing parental capacity to support the co-parent as well as enhancing the child-parent relationship.
